We played our three possible song choices to our peers this is a summary of the feedback
Jasmine Lauren- I resign
-Vocally the track and artist were strong
- The song leans toward a mixture of narrative and performance style due to
the fact that it was an R'n'B track.
- The track had limitations because it would become stereotypical of a music
video of that genre so our audience wouldn’t find anything within it that stood
out.
Tom Tripp- Dreamsville
- Although the song came from a 'grime' background
it didn’t have the usual lyrics so due to the fact that the lyrics were
somewhat aspiration it opened up video possibilities.
-The song made the audience picture a narrative
based video that pictured the life of the artist.
- the audience also felt that there was a risk
that the video may become a stereotypical grime video and as a result could end
up looking very cheap and unprofessional.
- Also the audience thought the performer would
have to be very comfortable and maybe even already someone that could carry the
look.
JW- Intrigue
- The track was a typical slow R'n'B track so therefore leaned toward a
narrative and performance based video.
- It would be difficult to find an artist so comfortable to perform to the
song
- Due to the nature of the song video ideas if not stereotypical would be
limited.
